GEA Refrigeration
GEA Grenco Africa recently attended the 12th Africa Section Convention of the IBD – Institute of Brewing & Distilling. The convention took place in the KZN Drakensberg and was attended by Ilse van der Merwe, Geoff Kasner and Ken Reed. In addition to attending the convention, Grenco shared a stand in the exhibition hall with our sister companies, GEA Process Engineering (previously GEA Tuchenhagen) and GEA Westfalia. The Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) is a members’ organisation dedicated to the education and training needs of brewers & distillers and those in related industries. The convention was attended by more than 300 delegates from around the world and included representatives from all of the major breweries. GEA Grenco Africa is currently involved in a number of projects for the brewing industry, with a specific emphasis on improving overall system efficiencies and reducing power and water consumption. Besides the lectures, the event offered the opportunity to network with major players in the industry, such as SABMiller, SAB Limited, Heineken, Diageo, Distell, Guiness, Krones, Phoenix Beverages, Tanzania Breweries, Zambian Breweries, Carlsberg Malawi Breweries, Delta Beverages and East African Breweries to name a few. The event also offered the opportunity to sample some of the products available from the various breweries...
